Catizen airdrop review

Catizen is a TON based game that allows players earn some in-game points that would be later used for airdrop allocation. It’s backed by strong web3 projects and from the various partnerships, it’s clear that the project is legit but I personally don’t find it very interesting due to the confusing game play and the fact that players who wish to conduct substantial upgrades have to use real money to do so.

The crypto space witnessed a high influx of new participants ever since the pioneer of clicker games, Notcoin recorded remarkable success; which led to most community members being handsomely rewarded. Since then, there’s been an unprecedented wave of clicker games that require users to click and tap on their screens in order to accumulate coins which will later be converted to real crypto asset.

Catizen happens to be one of the telegram mini-apps to be launched after Notcoin had launched and recorded remarkable feat. The difference however is, Catizen doesn’t require users to tap or click on their screens, the game play is completely different and in my own opinion, unique to a very large extent.

Players merge cats of same level to earn in-game coins on Catizen and in this article, we will be having a concise and deep look at what Catizen airdrop is all about including the ups and downs based on my assessment. If you’ve been hearing about the game but for one reason or the other haven’t entertained the thought to check it out, this article will serve as an eye opener.

What is Catizen, and How Does It Work?

Catizen is a telegram mini-app that allows players earn and accumulate coins that is to serve as a qualifier for their airdrop. It can also be referred to as a telegram airdrop project, the only good thing is that, the project has bagged numerous partnerships which makes it very credible from all standards.

During gameplay, users earn and accumulate two types of in-game coins namely, $vKitty and $Fish tokens(permit me to call them tokens).

These in-game coins are what players can use to upgrade their cats as well as qualify for the airdrop. So the more fish and vKitty in your balance as a Catizen player, the higher your chances of getting a favourable airdrop allocation.

How to Get Started

How to locate Catizen bot on telegram

Firstly, you must have the telegram application installed on your device as well as an active account. If you have this, just open and click on the search icon, type in Catizen, the first or second option has to be the bot while the other is their community.

Another option is to copy this url – https://t.me/catizenbot/gameapp?startapp=r_2811_10182035 and paste on a browser such as Chrome, you will be instantly taken to the bot.

Click on the bot and start it using the conventional command, /start, then an option will be shown to you to start playing the game. As soon as you log into the main game, the system will automatically give you access to the first set of cats.

The goal while playing the game is to merge cats to create more valuable cats and also tokens(vKitty and Fish) that can be used for in-game upgrades and purchases.

There are various features or better put, tabs on the Catizen game and they are as follows;

What shop means on Catizen

  • Shop – this is a tab in the game where players can purchase more fish and vKitty tokens using TON, MNT and even NOT. This means, you can buy some of the in-game coins needed to upgrade your cats for more overall earnings using either of the aforementioned currencies.

How to earn more fish tokens

  • Earn – the earn tab provides players with an opportunity to earn some Fish tokens from completing social tasks such as following Catizen & TON on X and telegram etc. Additionally, there are rewards when you hit certain milestones in the game such as day check-in and more.

Generate

  • Generate – the generate feature allows you generate cats of other advanced levels using the vKitty tokens. This tab is especially useful when there is no matching cat available to merge any more.
  • Invite – this is common and prevalent in almost all clicker games and airdrops. When you refer others, you earn extra fish tokens, and also secure a better position for the airdrop. More details about the referral program will be discussed later.

Auto

  • Auto – the auto bot works in similar way as auto tap bot in most clicker games. If you purchase it on Catizen, you get to earn vKitty and Fish without having to play the game. The only thing is that, the auto feature works only when you are active in the game i.e. you must open the Catizen game in order for the auto feature to work.

Boost

  • Boosts – the boost feature makes the gameplay faster and also increases your earnings X2. You can enjoy the feature in 10 mins for free, but if you want to enjoy it for longer period, you either have to pay for it using TON, MNT or you buy with your fish tokens.

Catizen Referral Program In Details

Catizen Referral program

The referral program is actually very interesting and it is in form of layers. At first, you earn 3 $fish token the moment your referral gets onboarded, the invitee also earn 3 $fish token.

But if the person is on telegram premium, both the inviter and invitee will be credited with 43 $fish.

That’s for the first layer of bonus, the second layer has to do with inviter gaining extra spins. Catizen recently introduced a spin feature that lets you win real cash, but to get spins, you have to refer people. For each referral, you get 1 extra spin and a shot at winning $xZEN token and other prizes.

The third and final layer is that you earn extra 5% airdrop bonus for referring users. This makes the referral program totally worth it, I mean if you can refer a lot of people, then there’s every likelihood that you will have a good time on the game.

When is It Launching?

There are speculations that it will be launching in the second quarter of 2024 which means participants who are playing and accumulating fish and vKitty tokens may be getting the airdrop in no distant time.

The specific date hasn’t been stated but considering that we are already in the 2nd quarter of the year already, players may not have much wait time, unless it gets shifted. So endeavour to play, upgrade your cats and accumulate more in-game tokens for higher airdrop allocation.

Pros

There are certain positive aspects of Catizen that are worthy to be mentioned in this review and they are as follows;

1. Partnerships with credible web3 platforms and mini-apps. Some months ago, Notcoin announced partnership with Catizen, Yescoin as well, another TON based game on telegram partnered with them. To top it all, they are also on the TON blockchain. This makes the project very credible.

Catizen token distribution

2. A whopping 40% $CATI token distribution to the community. Initially, they intended to leave it at 35% but plans changed for good. This shows Catizen has the interest of the community at heart and that is one of the signs of a legit project.

3. Catizen has stated clearly what their project is about. It’s clear that an airdrop is coming soon and they’ve not for once insinuated that the in-game coins are just for fun. Some clicker games do this at the start of their project making users doubt the possibility of an airdrop but this isn’t the case on catizen.

Cons

The few downsides or things I find unappealing are;

1. The use of REAL money for in-game upgrades and purchases. If you intend upgrading your cats for more coins, you may have to spend money to get that done and to me, that’s not what airdrop should be about. Spending money for a game that’s supposed to give you an airdrop allocation seems odd to me and I know it’s kind of odd to you as well.

2. The game is very confusing. If you are not well guided, you may not be able to understand the game at all. The gameplay is unique quite alright, but it’s very confusing and honestly, boring. I would have preferred a clicker game to this arrangement and the annoying sounds that come from the game while playing.

3. No clear stand on the in-game coin that will be used to distribute the $CATI airdrop. On the game, players earn both the $fish, $vKitty and $xZEN but no one knows the exact one that will be used in determining the allocation of each player.

Conclusion

Well, Catizen telegram airdrop seems solid to me considering their numerous partnerships and the fact that they are formerly recognized by TON blockchain but the flaws are just as significant. If it’s something you are willing to do regardless of the few downsides, then go ahead.

  1. Hey, you can turn off the sound in the game and the in game coin that will be used to distribute the $CATI airdrop is $vkitty, but I’ll have to admit the game is quite confusing. Hope this helped tho
