Freebyz is a task earning website that’s been around for a long while but my only reservation is that, you have to pay money to join. I mean, if they really wanted to pay users genuinely, then there is no point asking the same users to deposit before they can access the service.
Some days ago, I was going through my mail and I stumbled upon a message from a visitor requesting me to make a research about freebyz because he/she is probably interested in joining the site. Since that’s my first time hearing about the website, I instantly decided that my findings on the platform will be published here for readers; including the person that brought it to my notice.
In this article as the headline clearly states, I will be revealing all my findings for readers and people who may have stumbled on this article while searching to confirm if it is legit or scam and also people seeking detailed information about the website. If you are here for either of the aforementioned reasons, then I’d suggest you continue reading.
About
Freebyz as the name implies is a website where users can earn extra money for completing simple tasks. Freebyz was obviously coined from the more conventional term, freebies and it has to do with free things, free money to be precise.
Forgive me for digressing though, From my research and personal exploration of the website is a freelance platform where users are connected with people who want their tasks completed. Permit me to use “job seeker” as the title of those registering for the sake of earning from the platform.
So as a job seeker, you sign up and upon completion of the verification requirement, you will be shown tasks to complete, such as completing simple tasks on social media like, joining a WhatsApp group, sharing a social media publication etc. and in turn, you get credited with some cash rewards which can be withdrawn at a later date.
When Was It Launched?
Another very important piece of information I uncovered is the launch date i.e. when the domain name was officially registered and from what’s shown on Whois as well as the information shared about the website on Facebook, it was registered on the 11th of January, 2022, meaning the site has been around for a long while.
At first I thought it’s one of these new websites that are being created by hit-and-run administrators, but upon closer examination, I discovered there’s been a lot of publication about the site including numerous advertorials on it available on social media platforms. Therefore, when it comes to age, it’s credible in that regard.
Is Freebyz Legit?
Well, I’ve only known Freebyz for a couple of days and just recently started digging deep into how the site works, so my take on its legitimacy may not be foolproof. Regardless of this fact, there is a high chance that Freebyz is paying at the moment but the legitimacy is what I can’t speak on.
The main reason why I can’t speak on its legitimacy is the fact that you have to upgrade your account or make payment upon sign up in order to be verified and allowed to earn from completing tasks. I mean, we’ve seen sproutgigs and some other platforms that match advertisers with job seekers, there’s usually no stringent rule that the job seekers must make payments before they will be allowed to complete tasks.

This seems to be different on Freebyz and that’s the reason why I can’t say it’s legit neither can I say it’s scam. I mean for a website that has been paying for more than a year with no major complaint on social media, saying it’s scam outrightly might be so wrong and abnormal on my part.
Also not forgetting the fact that this article is basically aimed at revealing my findings on the said website and not my kind of personal reviews.
How to Create An Account
In order to start earning money from tasks available on the platform, you may have to create an account and to do this, simply head to their official homepage – freebyz.com and proceed to the sign up form, while filling, you can use – fYofhCY as the invite code.
There’s no verification requirement, so upon completion of the registration, you will be logged in and shown a welcome notification with an outright introduction to make payment for full account verification.
Interestingly, if you wish to earn via dollar, you’d have to pay a higher verification fee pegged at $5 while for users or job seekers who intend earning in local currency, the base account verification fee is 1050 naira.
After making the payment, scroll down on your dashboard to see the various tasks. Like I said, job seekers have to complete social media tasks to earn money. Below is a screenshot of the kind of tasks to expect after sign up and account verification;
You can only gain access to the tasks after completing account verification.
The more tasks completed, the more earnings you accrue and the closer you get to the minimum withdrawal.
There’s also a referral program. You earn up to 500 naira for each person you get to sign up and complete account verification. This is perhaps the fastest and most convenient way of earning from the platform but again, it’s just a side hustle on the site. The main goal is to complete tasks.
Apart from getting in as a job seeker, you can also posts your own jobs or tasks you would like people to complete. To do this, tap on the three lines at the top left corner and a range of options will be shown to you, including the option to Post Campaign, proceed to Create a Campaign. This is for people who have tasks they would like the users to complete.
You set the amount each user will earn after completing the set task and make the necessary deposits. Freebyz is a convenient way to get social media engagements and followership(if that’s something appealing to you) the only thing is, it’s paid.
Minimum Withdrawal
The minimum withdrawal on freebyz is 2,500 naira and to withdraw, click on the three lines, then on the Wallet option, select Withdraw from the drop-down menu.
You can only withdraw on Fridays every week. So even if you hit the minimum threshold on a Monday or Tuesday, you must exercise patience till Friday before you create a withdrawal order.
Cons
Having talked about the primary aspects of the platform and revealed my findings for all to see, there’s need to also have a look at some of the cons or downsides in all these for people who are just getting to know about freebyz from this article.
- Compulsory deposit of 1050 naira and $5 for dollar wallet is a red flag even though not a very serious one.
- Low paying tasks – went through the amount attached to the tasks and was not really impressed. It’s truly passive source of income, so if you are getting into the platform with the aim of earning a lot, then I’d suggest you have a rethink.
- Fixed day of withdrawal – this is something I always frown against and if you’ve been following most of my reviews, you will notice. The only fairly reasonable part on here is, you get to withdraw every Friday and not on a particular date in a month.
- High withdrawal threshold. You need up to 2,500 naira before you can place withdrawal. This is quite high considering the earning capacity of users.
Pros
- Interesting referral program
- Availability of tasks – there are numerous tasks available on the site, so you may not have any problem with earning; no matter how little.
