It came to limelight after Notcoin; the first tap-to-earn project on telegram shared details about it on their channel and encouraged early adopters to partake to win rewards. Ever since, the project has grown tremendously, partly due to it’s uniqueness and also the influence of the project that posted about them.

Verdict
TONxDAO appears to be solid. If I am asked to give it an early rating, I would say it’s a legit crypto mining project. Now this is just my opinion and it doesn’t get rid of the fact that there are certain flaws and aspects that are not so good or areas where I feel the game sucks and won’t go down well with many users.

Let’s leave that aspect for now and discuss the reasons why I feel it’s solid and a legit project;
1. Backed by TON & xDAO – the new telegram mini-app is backed by xDAO and powered by TON, which means it’s credible enough and the chances of not being rewarding for community members is really slim. This is usually a good sign and with what we all witnessed with Notcoin and Dogs, there is no doubt that, any project backed by TON often performs well.
Apart from the fact that it’s powered by the blockchain, the fact that it’s backed by xDAO, is also worth being talked about. Reason is, xDAO is a well known open-source protocol for tokenizing shares in investment pools, art objects and real world asset investments.
They have a native token currently listed on BingX with a price of $0.3. So they didn’t just start all of a sudden with a telegram mini-app. The team is actually known as the app is also quite solid and unique.
2. Being Promoted By Notcoin – if you have been following Notcoin ever since they conducted their airdrop, you would notice that they’ve only promoted a few other telegram projects and in their own words, “they only promote projects that have the interest of the community at heart“.
Interestingly, the just concluded Dogs airdrop was promoted massively by Notcoin and they eventually made the community happy. So there is a high chance that TONxDAO may also mean well for the community since they are in a form of partnership with the pioneer of Tap-to-earn games.
3. Short Campaign period – the TONxDAO game is a campaign that is intended to run for a month with a slated deadline on October 11. Which means that, the project is not going to be like others, you just have less than a month depending on the time of reading this article to earn and accumulate DAO tokens since the current campaign will be ending soon.
Shorter timeframe is always a plus when dealing with telegram airdrops and for me, it’s certainly a plus on the part of the users and also a sign of credibility and legitimacy.
Cons
Like I said, there are certain areas I feel are not so good about the game and they are as follows;
1. Nature of the game – the fact that users have to press and hold for minutes in order for the token to keep adding makes it really stressful and inappropriate for a lot of people. Alot of young people engaging in most telegram airdrops have other things doing, so most people prefer to just click on a button and come back hours later to claim tokens as we’ve seen on many other projects.
This new method of long pressing to earn isn’t really convenient and the fact that one’s device vibrates continuously while holding makes the whole thing unappealing. The project may be solid but the method of earning is not.
2. Referral rewards not being added to the main DAO profit balance. I was expecting the referral earnings to be added automatically to the balance but it appears not to be so. Which leaves me wondering if there is a different plan in place for referral earnings apart from being added to a player’s balance.
I don’t know what they intend to say in the future but personally, I didn’t find it nice.
Conclusion
TONxDAO appears to be solid and the main reason why it’s being hyped and promoted on most airdrop pages is because of the fact that it was promoted by Notcoin and also backed by TON. These are the two main reason why most people are bullish on the project and if I were you, I would also take it seriously.
The campaign is not meant to last too long, meaning we wont have to deal with the annoying vibration for long before rewards start trickling in.
