Walktask is a mobile application available on both Android and iOS that allows users earn money by walking and also, when they complete some tasks such as surveys, play mini-games and also, when they refer others. The game has been around for a while and in all honesty, it’s been proven to be legit and paying but this doesn’t make it suitable for everyone. As a free-to-earn platform, it has limitations in earning capacity.
In this review, we will go over all you should know about walktask, how it works and finally, what to expect should you decide to participate. So without wasting more time, let’s dive right into the topic of the day.
About Walktask
As the name implies, walktask is a Mobile application that claims to be rewarding users with financial benefits when they complete tasks and also walk around with their devices. The app is designed in such a way that, it records a person’s steps and rewards the user accordingly, depending on how active the person is during the day or time the app is activated.
If you are interested in participating, all that’s required of you is to download the walktask app and create an account. Once you are done with that, the app will start recording your steps and when it gets to a certain point, you will be eligible to claim the coins earned from the total steps.
The more coins you earn, the closer you inch towards placing withdrawal or redeeming one of the gifts in the store. The goal therefore, is to do anything possible within the app to build your coins as that is the only ticket to redeeming any gift or reward.
Apart from the step counting aspect, you can also earn money by referring others, playing games, answering surveys etc.
To access these extra features, simply click on Bonus tab while logged into the app to access the various ways to earn.
Breakdown of Earning Methods
There are several ways to earn on walktask besides the step counting and they are as follows;
- Referring others – when you invite others using your referral code, you earn 30-300 coins for doing so and if the person keeps the app on for a period of 7 days, you earn additional rewards from inviting such person. Though, in my experience, the referral earning is 20 coins, nothing more, nothing less.
- Watching Advert Videos – when you click on Bonus, you will see video ad to watch in order to earn extra coins. After watching the brief video ad which is usually capped at 2, you earn 1 coin from each video ad.
- Playing games – there are mini-games on walktask you can play to earn extra coins
- Surveys – like I said earlier, you complete surveys to earn more coins on walktask.
How to Get Started
To get started, the first step is to download walktask from Google Play store or iOS and create an account.
While creating an account, if you don’t already have an invite, simply use my own code – Y33HYM as that is another way to support the growth of this blog site
After creating the account, the steps will automatically start counting and for every 100 steps, you earn 1 coin. In a day, if you are someone who’s very active i.e. walks around very often, you should have 10-20k steps recorded which all adds up to your coin balance.
The application doesn’t need to be opened for your steps to count but you can open it at the end of each day and click on the package icon showing in the step counter, to claim your coins for the day.
So let’s say, you’re going to work or have somewhere to be, just leave the app in the background to record your steps. It’s usually fixed at the notification bar of the user’s device and records every activity.
The more active you are during the day, the more points you accumulate.
How to Withdraw On Walktask
Depending on your country or location, there are several gifts one can redeem from the store once you’ve earned up to the minimum number of coins needed for redemption.
Based on what’s available on my own account, you can use your coin balance to redeem either, Amazon Gift Card, PayPal gift card, Google Play Gift card etc. most of the rewards have to do with gift cards and they are readily available and redeemable immediately you hit the threshold.
Back to the main question, how to withdraw? Once you have earned at least 3,000 coins, you click on Redeem, then you will see the various gifts available.
Click on any of them depending on the total coins in your balance and proceed to exchange the coins for the gift. Wait for some minutes or hours and your redeemed reward will be sent to your registered mail as shown in the screenshot below 👇
Is Walktask Legit?
Walktask is legit and paying at the time of writing this article. I don’t see any chance of it not paying in the nearest future since it’s been around for very long time now and still paying well.
The only significant downside for me is the fact that, it has a very poor earning rate; which makes it very difficult for people to reach the minimum threshold.
Therefore, walktask may be legit but it’s not really what anyone looking for a passive source of income especially substantial income would want to give a try due to the poor earning rate and the fact that it takes a very long time for one to reach the threshold.
Pros
- Walktask is a free-to-earn mobile application that’s been paying for a long time now.
- Minimum withdrawal threshold is not really on the high side, considering that, some similar sites or apps have a much higher threshold.
- It’s passive earning at its finest. You earn money by walking around and doing the things you normally do. The app simply records your steps and your coin balance keeps growing.
- Legit at the time of writing this article and has been around for a long while.
Cons
- Poor earning capacity. If you should stick to the walking part, it may take a number of months before you reach the minimum withdrawal threshold and that’s disappointing.
- Not suitable for people looking for substantial source of passive income.
- Rewards are mainly gift cards which also waters down the value of each withdrawal judging from the exchange rate of gift cards to fiat.
- The conversion rate of steps to coins is very poor. 100 steps gives 1 coin and one needs about 3,000 coins to place withdrawal.
- Referral Program is not really enticing, so people with a large audience won’t really have much to gain from Walktask
Conclusion
Walktask is legit and paying but due to the low earnings capacity, I don’t think it’s suitable for alot of online entrepreneurs in search of a credible and stable source of passive income. While it’s still safe to participate, since all you have to do is enable the app and allow it count steps, there isn’t really much to expect in terms of earnings.
